~Christmas Wishes~

It’s Christmas time

Lights shine brightly

And loved ones are near

They hold each other tightly

 

This time of year

Love fills the air

We gather together

Or wish to be there

 

As a child she knew love

Till they took her away

Now she sits at the window

And waits for the day

 

The day she too

Will feel this love

She knows there’s a family

That will fit like a glove

 

At this special time of year

We often forget

All of the children who have no homes yet

We must keep in our hearts

The ones who are in need

And set aside all of our selfishness and greed

 

This day has come

Christmas Wishes come true

On this blessed holiday

The Heart can renew

 

She knows now that love

From a loving stranger

The message of a child

Born in a manger

 

She holds them closely

This day filled with cheer

She can now feel the warmth

Her loved ones so near
